100% Hit Rate In Live Fire Testing Under Field Conditions Complete: TVI’s Apache Boresight Panel (Patent Pending) provides everything needed to boresight an Apache in all light, weather, and environmental conditions, including:
A Boresight Panel with highly visible powered infrared emitting components, a powered incandescent white light for aligning the DTV, and passive (no-power) infrared material for emergency boresighting when no power is available.
TVI’s Patented Articulated Frame allows the top edge of the Apache Boresight Panel to be raised a full 8 feet off of the ground for easy acquisition in varied terrain, yet folds to only 30″ x 20″ x 10″ for easy transportation and storage.
Highly Visible: The Powered Infrared Emitters in the center of the Boresight Panel can be detected for up to 4 to 6 kilometers by the TADS on an Apache helicopter. At the ranges that most boresighting is conducted (from 500 to 1,200 meters) they present a perfect hot square allowing for accurate and precise boresighting.
Lightweight: With each Apache Boresight Panel weighing about 4 pounds and the 8 foot folding frame weighing only 17 pounds the Apache Boresight Panel is truly lightweight.
Fast: The lightweight and rugged articulated frame can be opened in seconds. It only takes a few minutes to attach the panel, lock the frame into place, and stake the platform into place.
Durable: The frame is constructed using non-corrosive aircraft grade anodized aluminum and the panel is backed with 1000 denier Cordura® nylon.
Flexible: The Boresight Panel can be powered using standard military batteries (BA-5590/U or BA5390/U), the UBI-2590, TVI’s PP-105 Hi-Capacity Rechargeable Battery, vehicle power, or any other 24 volt power source.
Reliable: TVI has nearly 25 years of experience in building rugged and reliable infrared products for the military
Safe: Completely safe to use, no high temperatures or harmful emissions of any kind.
